Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D:  Coulson faces his trauma

Agent Coulson is known for his dedication, perseverance, and sharp wit. Coulson is a spy for the Strategic Homeland Intervention Espionage and Logistics Division (or the S.H.I.E.L.D.).

Present in all the Avengers films, Coulson played a very important role in the way the events unfolded. From working with Tony Stark in Iron Man to investigating the curious hammer in New Mexico, Coulson always seems to be at the right place at the right time.

However, as seen during the last Avengers film, Agent Coulson is stabbed to death by Loki. Well… sort of. Agent Coulson was resuscitated and sent to Tahiti to recover. What we don’t fully know is the extent that this trauma affected him psychologically. My friend and colleague, Josue Cardona of Geek Therapy, wrote a brilliant blog post about the effects of this trauma on Coulson’s psychological state. Click here to check it out.
